Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 mIf you love me, you will nkeep my commandments.

John 14:21-23

21 oWhoever has my commandments and pkeeps them, he it is who loves me. And qhe who loves me rwill be loved by my Father, and I will love him and smanifest myself to him.” 22 tJudas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it uthat you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23Jesus answered him, vIf anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and wwe will come to him and xmake our home with him.

2 Corinthians 8:8-9

8 yI say this not as a command, but to prove by the earnestness of others that your love also is genuine. 9For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that zthough he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

1 John 3:16-20

16By this we know love, that aahe laid down his life for us, and abwe ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. 17But acif anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet adcloses his heart against him, aehow does God’s love abide in him? 18Little children, let us not aflove in word or talk but in deed and agin truth.

19By this we shall know that we are of the truth and reassure our heart before him; 20for whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.
